Ella woke up one sunny afternoon with an exciting idea. “Today is perfect for a picnic!” she exclaimed. However, as she started thinking about all the things she would need to carry, the thrill turned into worry.
“I’ll need sandwiches, drinks, and snacks. Do I have enough plates? What if it rains?” Ella fretted, her mind racing. It seemed so complicated that she thought, “Maybe I should just stay in.”
Just then, her younger brother, Max, peeked in. “What’s wrong, Ella?”
“I want to have a picnic, but I’m not sure I can do it,” she sighed.
“Why not ask your friends to help?” suggested Max.
Ella’s face brightened as she realized it was a great idea. “You’re right! I’ll send them a message and see who can come over,” she decided.
Once her friends arrived, Ella felt much better explaining her plan. “Let’s each bring something for the picnic!”
Her best friend Mia raised her hand. “I can help make the sandwiches, and I’ll bring my new picnic basket!”
“Great! I’ll take care of the drinks,” added Leo.
As suggestions flowed in, Ella wrote them down. “Lucy should bring fruit, and Tom can bring plates and cups.” She began to feel excited again.
On the day of the picnic, the sun shone brightly. Ella, Mia, Leo, Lucy, and Tom set off to the park with their bags. They found the perfect spot under a big tree and quickly set everything up.
“Wow, Ella! Look at all this food,” exclaimed Max, who joined them. The picnic spread looked amazing.
Ella beamed with pride as they dug in. They played games, laughed, and enjoyed the delicious treats. After 30 minutes, their laughter turned into silence as they finished their last slices of fruit.
“Thank you, everyone! This was the best picnic ever,” Ella said, her heart full. “I couldn’t have done it without your help.”
“Teamwork makes everything funnier!” Max chimed in.
Ella nodded, realizing that planning with friends had turned a simple idea into a perfect day. They packed up their things, promising to do it all over again soon.
