Tommy and Jenny were two children who loved summer. They played every day in the backyard forest, which was filled with trees, bushes, and flowers. One sunny morning, they had a brilliant idea.
“We should build a tree house!” Tommy exclaimed, looking up at his favorite tree.
Jenny thought it was the best idea ever. “Yes! A secret tree house where we can play, read, and keep our treasures!”
They decided to start right away, but soon discovered a big problem: they couldn’t agree on how to build it.
“I want to build a ladder,” Tommy said excitedly.
“But I want a rope swing,” Jenny replied, determinedly.
They both wanted their own ideas in the tree house and began to argue. Their mother heard the commotion and came out to see what was wrong.
“Why don’t you both tell me your ideas?” she suggested.
“We will build different parts of the tree house,” Tommy said.
“Yes! And we can both help each other!” Jenny added.
Their mother smiled at their change of heart. “That’s a lovely idea, children. Teamwork brings joy. Why not gather the things you need: a big toolbox, some wood, and the rope you found last summer?”
They quickly collected everything and began to work together. Tommy put on his tool belt and started hammering nails while Jenny swung on her new swing, testing its strength.
Day after day, they worked hard, laughing with every nail they hammered. Their first idea was to paint the tree house a bright red, which made it easy to see. Then, they put up shelves to hold their favorite books and games.
Finally, the day arrived when they could open the doors. Tommy swung wide the door and took a step inside the newly finished tree house. “It’s amazing!” he shouted with excitement.
Jenny climbed up quickly and looked around. “It’s even better than I imagined!” she cheered.
Every kid in the neighborhood was invited for the opening party. They all admired the tree house, but Tommy and Jenny were proudest of all. “We couldn’t have built it without each other’s help,” Tommy said.
With giggles and games, the party continued late into the summer evening. Unbeknownst to the children, a tiny fairy, the guardian spirit of the forest, peeked from behind the trees and smiled. She sprinkled magic dust over the secret tree house, filling it not only with wonder but also with great joy.
From that day on, the tree house became a special place for the children to spend their summer days. Tommy and Jenny never forgot the lesson they learned: friendship always flourishes with cooperation. The end.
