Rainbow Bridge

In a shiny little place called Dreamland lived a very special unicorn called Lila. She was the only unicorn in all of Dreamland and had the most beautiful, sparkling white coat and a bouncy mane full of all the colors of the rainbow.

Every evening, as the sun began to hide and the sky became dreamy and colorful, Lila would climb the Candy Mountain and dance at the top while welcoming all her friends. In Dreamland, there lived Allie the Angel, who shared dreams from other children at night, Free the Fairy, who loved to enjoy nature, Leo the Lion with his big golden mane, and Curlie the Cutie Snake, who was the longest in all the land. They all enjoyed spending time with Lila and knew how to play lots of different games together.

But one day, Lila woke up and then quickly turned sad. She looked around and saw that her home was losing its many pretty colors. The Candy Mountain was all white, the rainbow River was turning grey, and even Lila’s colorful mane was losing color: All the colors in Dreamland were disappearing! Lila discovered that the Rainbow Bridge connecting her home to Where the Dreams Are was fading away and that soon, if no one was able to help, it would completely disappear.

“Don’t worry, Lila,” all her friends said and tried cheering her up, but it did not work. At night, Allie, who had spread all the children’s dreams earlier, thought hard and asked the others, “What can we do to help?”

“We must find the colors, but where can we find them?” Lila said, surprised.

Curlie was the most curious of them all. “I will go and look for the colors! I will look for them all over the world!” he said and went away.

Days passed and Lila and the others were still trying to think where they could find the colors to restore Dreamland, but they were unable to find the right answer. One day, Curlie came back, felt himself very tired, and sat in the warm sand while putting all his colors in a little box.

“Have you come back to tell us the news or to sleep?” Lila asked, very happy to see him after so long.

“I’m too tired. I will sleep first and tell you my story once I’m rested,” Curlie said and shut his little eyes.

Allie, Free, Leo, Curlie, and Lila all spoke in turn, telling each other all the dreams that they had shared in Dreamland and How they had themselves received dreams from the children at night. But they could not find a color that was missing.

Leo then thought, “Why not join all the dreams together? Maybe together, they will be strong enough to make all the colors of the rainbow!”

Nobody was sure but Curlie had some colors left to try. He first asked Lila to think about what her own heart’s desire was and to speak it out loud in order to give a little color from her birthday balloon for him to use.

“I want Dreamland to be beautiful and colorful again,” Lila said, and Curlie took the color that he mixed with a little bit of his own color and his own dream.

Leo was next and out loud recounted the dream he used to tell to his father every night. Free the Fairy and Allie the Angel then followed, and at last, Curlie’s dream sparkle was mixed with the other dreams too.

All of a sudden, a little arch appeared, little drops fell and in front of their eyes grew the biggest and the loveliest rainbow that a rainbow had ever been!

“Bravo! Bravo! Well done!” Allie the Angel, Lila the Unicorn, Curlie the Snake, Leo the Lion, Free the Fairy all said and laughed together after managing to make the rainbow shine: Dreamland was saved, and they were all so happy that they danced beneath the rainbow.

That night, Dreamland dreamt under the loving watch of each child living in the world. And as Lila looked out for the first time from her little house, she saw the bridge back that led to Where the Dreams Are. A little happy tear rolled down her cheek and fell on her mane, making it even more colorful than it had been before.

“And it was all together, my friends, that we managed to paint the Rainbow Bridge. So always remember: Together, We can make all our dreams with the vibration of LOVE come true!”

All the children dreaming in their beds all felt a tickle on their forehead and began smiling.
